Paul Teruya
FOUNDER, PARTNER & PRESIDENT
Paul has been in residential construction for twenty-one years. Working primarily as a partner in GreenTech Homes, Paul’s heart has always been in custom residential construction. This led him to set his sights towards Boutique Living By Curate in December of 2019. Paul loves walking job sites on the weekends, finding new land, dreaming up future plans, and spending time with his daughter Abby.

CEO
Denver cherishes spending time with family; wife Joanna, kids- Mattie Jane, Liam, Abagail, and Ruth Ann. Graduate of Auburn University 1997 (Business Administration and Management) and graduate of the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga 2010 (Engineering Management). He enjoys building relationships with clients, trade professionals / partners, and vendors to execute a variety of construction projects. His hobbies include running, mountain biking, hunting and timberland / wildlife management. Denver is also a member of New City Fellowship Church, PCA in Chattanooga, TN where he serves his community as Deacon.

Cyndi Horner
CFO & OFFICE MANAGER
Cyndi loves spending time with her husband of 20 years, her daughter, and Lucie, her Border Collie. She attended Manatee Community College in Bradenton, Florida. She says, “Sunsets, waves crashing on the beach, and music are my favorites--I always have music playing! To relax, I love spending time at the lake, while making memories with family and friends.” Traveling and reading are some of her other hobbies. After joining the GreenTech team several years ago, Cyndi is now excited to be a part of the Curate custom world. She enjoys learning new facets of the construction industry and tackling complex challenges in accounting. “The best part is working every day to deliver someone their dream home!”

Piper Stromatt
FOUNDER, PARTNER, VP OF COMMUNICATIONS, & ADVISOR OF DESIGN
A graduate of The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, class of 2015 (Interior Design & Architecture). As a high school freshman, Piper started practicing interior design, at just fifteen years old, participating in two years of classes on the subject. Completing Design I & II, she knew her future field would be Interior Design. Fast forward to 2015-Piper started at GreenTech Homes, and soon became their sole interior designer. After completing over 400 houses in the production home industry, she knew it was time to take her passion a step further. Her heart led her to partner with Paul Teruya in creating Boutique Living By Curate. Piper says you can typically find her with her husband Tyler and black Lab, Miller. Her hobbies include working out, music, travel, and quality time with friends and family. Piper considers clients family by the end of every design process, and the meaningful relationships created with each of them hold a special place in her heart.

Emily Simmering
DESIGN MANAGER & LEAD DESIGNER
Emily is a 2019 graduate from Mississippi College. She earned her BS in Interior Design and has been working in the design industry for over four years. She has a passion for art and enjoys learning the process of how things are created. Emily says, “I love how design can connect individuals and allows people to express who they are. I enjoy adding small details to projects because they make the biggest impact.” Some of her favorite things include spending time with her Newfypoo (Schaztie), coffee, photography, painting abstract art, and spending time with friends.

Jamie Riley
DESIGN ASSISTANT
Jamie is a graduate of the University of Tennessee, Knoxville with a degree in Art History. She enjoys being in an environment where she can help families create warm and inviting spaces in which to make beautiful new memories. Relationships built with those clients are a highlight of the job! Jamie lives in St. Elmo with her husband, 2 children, and their Labradoodle, in a lovely GreenTech home! Outside of work, she loves to spend time traveling, organizing, painting, and just being a busy mom and wife.

Casey Thornton
INTERIOR DESIGNER
Casey studied Interior Architecture and Design at the CIDA accredited University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. After graduating in Spring of 2020, Casey completed a summer internship at Curate, assisting in the design department, before joining the team as a full-time Architectural Designer. During her time at Curate, Casey has dedicated herself to the belief that design is about creating spaces that are not only functional but also a direct reflection of the homeowners who will live in them. The meaningful connections created with clients are vital to this belief, because in the end, we are creating spaces where families will make memories. Casey loves it when clients invite her and the rest of the design team to explore their own creative freedom. She feels that the team can make a house truly feel like a home, given the opportunity to incorporate those unique details, and that space can foster happiness for many years to come.

Kelly Perkins
COORDINATION & CLIENT RELATIONS: PRE-PRODUCTION
Kelly is a graduate of the University of Georgia, with a degree in Business, Marketing focus. She is now a Community Manager for Boutique Living By Curate. Beginning her professional career in the tobacco industry, Kelly never thought she would end up in new construction sales, but she happened upon GreenTech Homes several years ago. This led Kelly to her current position at Curate. With a passion for the Chattanooga area, Kelly is actively involved in local life, and is the best go-to for advice on what to do for fun. In her free time, you can find her at local music festivals, and live music all over the map. She has an eight-pound Yorkie she adores, named Luke (Lucas when he’s misbehaving), and she is also a volunteer for the Junior League of Chattanooga. Kelly shares her enthusiasm with every client, saying, “I love helping people find the perfect home for their next life chapter.”

Rachael Lund
ESTIMATING / PROCUREMENT MANAGER
Rachael graduated from Covenant College (class of 2012), with a major in Sociology and a minor in Community Development. She is married to her husband Brian, and together they have twins Aubrey and Adalynn. For fun, she loves reading (more like listening to audiobooks with the twins), listening to podcasts, and spending time outdoors hiking, camping, or just being on the water. Rachael’s absolute favorite series is Harry Potter, and she is a total Potter nerd. In 2016, Rachael began working at GreenTech Homes, and has been involved in many different aspects of the business, now handling Estimating and Procurement for Curate Homes. She says, “I’ve worked in Design, Customer Service, Quality Inspections, and now Estimating at Curate, and I love learning new pieces of the business and industry.” Currently residing in her third GreenTech home, Rachael is excited to see that same level of excellence poured into every Curate home. She says, “I am proud of the homes and communities we are creating, where families can enjoy life’s most precious moments.”

Kortney McKenzie
ESTIMATING ASSISTANT
Kortney is currently going to Georgia Northwestern Technical College for Computer Science. She worked as a clerk and in logistics before venturing out into estimating. She enjoys spending her free time kayaking in the summer, hanging around a bonfire, and spending time with family. She is also very involved with her church and enjoys spending time with her young adult group. She is new to construction, so every day is a learning experience, and she is excited to pick up new skills and go further in depth in the construction world.

Hannah Simmons
ACCOUNTS PAYABLE SPECIALIST
Hannah attended the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga (class of 2015), graduating summa cum laude with a major in Professional Writing (secretly loving poetry the most). She has worked as a line and content editor, general manager of a frozen yogurt store, substitute teacher, and is now an Accounts Payable Specialist at Curate. Hannah says, “I love my little family, made up of my husband Ethan, our Great Pyrenees (Rupert), and our Longhaired Dachshund (Sammy)”. For fun, Hannah likes eating Thai food, going to concerts with friends, and taking part in nerd conventions. She says, “I’m very passionate about my career at Curate, because each day I’m able to learn something new. I get to see, firsthand, the tangible results of what each department is striving to accomplish, and that creates a truly outstanding work environment. Our team is so fun and supportive, and I know they really care for every client who walks in the door.”

Madeline Stone
RECEPTIONIST
plans to study interior architecture and design. Working at curate has really helped her find her passion, and she is very grateful for that. In her free time, she loves to sit down with a good book. Madeline enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and, of course, her dogs.

Laura Brown
DIRECTOR OF FIELD OPERATIONS
Laura graduated from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, class of 2004, with a bachelor’s in Finance, and she began her ten-year career in banking in 2003. After meeting several local builders along the way, Laura decided to venture out into residential construction, and it was at GreenTech Homes where she would build over eighty houses. Recently, she completed a sixty-nine-home development in Red Bank known as North Pointe Ridge, which she is extremely proud of. Now, Laura is a Jobsite Superintendent for Boutique Living By Curate. She says, “If you asked me twenty years ago what I would be doing today, I can guarantee you building houses would not have been on my list. Today, I could never imagine myself doing anything other than building homes. This is my love and my passion. I love seeing my customers’ dreams become reality.” Laura says her Seventeen-year-old daughter, Waverli, is her rock, and family is her whole world. She loves traveling with her daughter, boating, spending time with friends and family, and all things beach!

Bill Iorio
JOB SUPERINTENDENT
Bill graduated from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, with a B.S. in Science Education Having worked in construction for twenty-seven years, he is now a Project Manager and Remodeling Specialist for Curate Homes. He says, “After twenty-seven years in the construction industry, I am still able to learn new things almost every day. I love the challenge of coming up with creative solutions, and I love learning and teaching building practices as materials and techniques evolve.” Bill enjoys all the outdoor activities Chattanooga has to offer, especially whitewater kayaking and road/mountain biking. He is devoted to every home he builds, saying, “The most satisfying part of my job is watching a patch of dirt transform into a beautiful home or community, where new neighbors mingle and get to know one another.

Jason Georgevich
JOB SUPERINTENDENT
Jason started in construction at 16 years old, laboring for a friend’s business in the summer. He continued working in construction through college, earning an associate degree in computer-aided drafting and Design from Chattanooga State. While working toward an Electrical Engineering degree, he realized his heart belonged to the construction industry. Jason has 30 years of residential and commercial construction ranging from multi-family, production, and custom homes. In his spare time, he loves spending time with my family. When he is not with family, you can find Jason on Chickamauga Lake fishing or in the woods with his chocolate lab, Waylon.
